I work at the wonderful place of ‘Everything being a dollar!’ At my job, we get the pleasure of people that think they should get special treatment because they have one item or because they are in a rush to get back to work. Last week I had a customer in my cashiers lane ask me if I were open after I had gotten the lines down. The cashier asked for change so I was walking over to her draw to give her what she needed. The next customer behind the current customer asked me if I were open as i was right behind the cashier. The customer then proceeds to ask the cashier who the manager was, and I replied I am. He then goes on to say why would you close your register when there are crazy lines, so much for customer comes first. (I think the customers need to work retail to understand that customers are not right.) I replied that register 4 had two people in it and I had gotten the lines down enough that they can manage. Mind you he had one card and was behind an order that had 30 dollars worth of things who was finishing her transaction on the keypad.
